» Behind the scenes of a fashion show

Sandra Omo gives a ‘behind the scenes’ look at the reality of a fashion show

I am backstage at a fashion show right now, as I write this column and it’s bizarre – that’s the only word that can describe the rowdiness and haste right here. I am in-line for my make-up and it will take a while before it reaches my turn.

“I have just begun my make-up and hear we have just an hour to go until the show, no time at all”

» Dani’s Diary

Dani weighs up what it is that makes us ‘weird’ or ‘normal’ and tries to discover where she fits in

I am scared of the dark. Does that make me weird? I am scared of silence. Does that make me weird? I am scared of aliens. Not goblin-looking aliens but the ones with the elongated features. I have no idea why. Does that make me weird?

» The Foragers restaurant, Hove

The ForagersForgive me for not getting here sooner. I know it’s been open for a year now but for some reason I have failed to run it over my gums and see if my palate salutes it. I am, of course, talking about The Foragers in darkest Hove. I seem to have had a bit of a blind spot, maybe a few people swayed me early on and since then I have been remiss in my actions. I apologise, I am here now, actually typing this as I eat and I have to say that I am already more than impressed.

‘‘Maybe I should take to a disguise, dark glasses, a headscarf, or would people mistake me for Jackie Collins? The resemblance is quite alarming‘‘

Latest TV

» Brighton Lights 31

Our new programme for thelatest.tv sees Juice FM presenter Guy Lloyd investigate all manner of things. He starts off with chart-topping band The Hoosiers who were mega-successful a couple of years ago, were dropped by their major label and have become fashionably independent. Their chart-topping album cost £1 million to record, their new album £100 and we reckon it's just as good. We have exclusive footage of this new record. Guy does crazy-golfing with them, checks out their sound-check and witnesses the fans' adoration of the band at Audio in Brighton. In future shows Guy will be doing waxing, Dot Cotton, air guitar and needs your suggestions for more crazy things (or people) to do. Send to bill@thelatest.co.uk
