I spent last week holidaying in Northern Italy alongside my hubby who was writing a travel piece for a national newspaper. I knew we would be staying in a few top hotels, but the trip turned into more of a celeb spotting mission – I had one mission however – to find George Clooney.

Who is it that decides how we are supposed to prepare our food? We are told not to eat too much salt but the likes of Gordon Ramsay seem to add salt to everything. If you watch an episode of MasterChef most of the contestants will continually be told they haven’t seasoned their food enough.

“Let me get this,” says L, producing his gold card and setting it atop the bill at the conclusion of our second date. “No, no, no,” I insist, pulling out my own debit card and gently nudging his off the saucer. My card is not gold like L’s. My card is grey and covered in inky fingerprints. If L were to take a closer look, he would also see the issue number is 8, because I can’t be trusted to have nice things and not lose them.

Our new programme for thelatest.tv sees Juice FM presenter Guy Lloyd investigate all manner of things. He starts off with chart-topping band The Hoosiers who were mega-successful a couple of years ago, were dropped by their major label and have become fashionably independent. Their chart-topping album cost £1 million to record, their new album £100 and we reckon it's just as good. We have exclusive footage of this new record. Guy does crazy-golfing with them, checks out their sound-check and witnesses the fans' adoration of the band at Audio in Brighton.
