Music Technology students at City College Brighton and Hove have released a new compilation album showcasing their talent. The label Brighton Records was set up by the music students to help them gain an insight into the music industry and gain valuable experience in an extremely competitive marketplace. It also nurtures and promotes the college’s emerging talent in music performing, composing, recording and production.

Steps Ahead


Barclays has announced that Bundl, the unique baby carry blanket created by Shoreham entrepreneurs David Solomons and Mike Edwards, is the Southern region’s winner in the Take One Small Step competition. Over 5,000 businesses registered to take part in the competition with a winner selected from nine different UK regions following a public vote.

Andrea Fox gets into a fight at Boxercise Bootcamp


You might not expect it from the title, but Boxercise Bootcamp is very much like a ballet class, with yoga stretches and some gentle leg lifts. And if you believe that then they’ve just removed the word gullible from the dictionary – who ever ‘they’ are. The title of Boxercise Bootcamp, much like Ronseal apparently, does what it says on the tin: some boxing style moves and bootcamp exercises. Still, I didn’t get to hit anyone in the face and no-one wore boots.

Our new programme for thelatest.tv sees Juice FM presenter Guy Lloyd investigate all manner of things. He starts off with chart-topping band The Hoosiers who were mega-successful a couple of years ago, were dropped by their major label and have become fashionably independent. Their chart-topping album cost £1 million to record, their new album £100 and we reckon it's just as good. We have exclusive footage of this new record. Guy does crazy-golfing with them, checks out their sound-check and witnesses the fans' adoration of the band at Audio in Brighton.
