IPL hair removal can make shaving, waxing & plucking a thing of the past

We love long days on the beach wearing nothing but swimming shorts or bikinis in the summer. The downside is the constant shaving or waxing – which is not so constant but still a chore – to upkeep our summer body. There are times when even the most sensitive shaving gel and razor can cause redness and irritation to the skin. Shaving may be the ‘cheapest’ or ‘easiest’ option but professional IPL?(intense pulse light)/laser hair removal can be more cost effective and time saving in the long term.

Matt Whistler creates a new art movement in his challenge set by Latest 7 reader Sally Lloyd

With one event dominating everyone’s minds last Bank Holiday weekend [29 April–2 May], Matt thought it was definitely worth getting involved.

No, he didn’t crash the Royal Wedding – he put on his own artist’s open house ahead of the Brighton Festival.

But to make this a real challenge, Sally Lloyd from Brighton asked Matt to organise his open house within 24 hours, and start a new art movement within the exhibition.
With little time to prepare or find stray artists not already ‘housed’ ahead of the festival, Matt had to call on all his persuasive powers.

Mark Brailsford says Dick should be knighted

And Lua Lua Came Too…
So the title celebrations have subsided. The Albion have hoisted the League One Trophy and the great end-of-season wind down begins.

What a season? If you would have said in August last year that The Albion would have hit the top of the league in September and stayed there for the rest of the season I may have questioned your sanity or your alcohol intake. But there we were, at the top of the league for most of the season. If you would have said that Glenn Murray would finish the season with 21 goals, I might have scoffed. If you had said that over 16,000 season tickets would have been sold for The Amex, that Gary Hart would come on against Huddersfield and look like he could play another 13 years, I would have choked on my Withdean chips. But all this has come to pass.

Andrea Fox catches some waves inland

If you enjoy watersports you’ll probably have noticed that Hove Lagoon is back in action for the summer. If you aren’t often spotted sporting a wetsuit, then may I draw your attention to the view from Heather Mills’ café: that water you can see isn’t a duck pond. And this year a new water-based activity is available at Hove Lagoon: cable wakeboarding.

Cable wakeboarding looks a bit like snowboarding on water. It’s best imagined as water skiing but with the boat replaced with a cable that pulls you along at varying speeds. Your feet are strapped to a board much like you would be attached to a snowboard.

This new water activity required some new additions to Hove Lagoon: two new ‘A’ frames are now linked by a cable with a dock, and if you get really good, a jump can be put in place to be used for jumps and tricks. And, lucky Hove, It’s the only facility of it’s kind on the south coast!

» Brighton Lights 31

Our new programme for thelatest.tv sees Juice FM presenter Guy Lloyd investigate all manner of things. He starts off with chart-topping band The Hoosiers who were mega-successful a couple of years ago, were dropped by their major label and have become fashionably independent. Their chart-topping album cost £1 million to record, their new album £100 and we reckon it's just as good. We have exclusive footage of this new record. Guy does crazy-golfing with them, checks out their sound-check and witnesses the fans' adoration of the band at Audio in Brighton. In future shows Guy will be doing waxing, Dot Cotton, air guitar and needs your suggestions for more crazy things (or people) to do. Send to bill@thelatest.co.uk
