» Brighton and Hove (Actually) Gay Men’s Chorus

Drag stars will be seen without their glamorous outfits for a special fringe performance.
Five well known faces will sing with Brighton and Hove (Actually) Gay Men’s Chorus for the ‘Coming Out of Make Up’ show during Brighton Festival Fringe. Audiences will have the chance to see David Raven (Maisie Trolette), Jason Sutton (Miss Jason), Scott Burey (Drag with no name), Dave Lynn and Robert James (Lady James) as they have never seen them before – without their frocks. The performance at St Andrew’s Church, Waterloo Street, Hove on 23 May will be conducted by Jason Pimblett.
Jason said: “We are delighted to be singing with these five supremely talented and well loved entertainers. It will be a unique event; an evening of superb entertainment with great songs and not to be missed.”
Proceeds will go to the Mayor’s charities. Tickets are £10 each and available from the Dome box office, the Iron Duke, the Aquarium Bar, The Bulldog and on the door.
Also as part of the fringe, the chorus’s Jason Pimblett and Gerry McCrudden will perform at St Andrew’s for An Evening with Gerry McCrudden and Friends on 18 May at 6pm.
The Chorus, which recently redesigned its website www.bhagmc.org, is planning Pride concerts on 30 and 31 July.

» Brighton Lights 31

Our new programme for thelatest.tv sees Juice FM presenter Guy Lloyd investigate all manner of things. He starts off with chart-topping band The Hoosiers who were mega-successful a couple of years ago, were dropped by their major label and have become fashionably independent. Their chart-topping album cost £1 million to record, their new album £100 and we reckon it's just as good. We have exclusive footage of this new record. Guy does crazy-golfing with them, checks out their sound-check and witnesses the fans' adoration of the band at Audio in Brighton. In future shows Guy will be doing waxing, Dot Cotton, air guitar and needs your suggestions for more crazy things (or people) to do. Send to bill@thelatest.co.uk
