Butlers in the BuffGood looking men from Brighton have found a way to boost their wages in a time of economic uncertainty – by becoming naked waiters.

Light-hearted party company Butlers in the Buff held a recruiting day at Drakes Hotel last week and found half a dozen new models to take onto their books.

Spokeswoman Iona McCaie, who had a peek at each applicant’s chest as part of the interview process said, at first look, all the men seemed suitable for the firm.

Butlers in the Buff hires out its models to wait on men and women at parties, wearing only a tiny apron. Many of their bookings are upmarket hen parties – they were recently hired for the hen party of Autumn Kelly, who married Peter Phillips, the Queen’s eldest grandson.

The models are paid £20 an hour. Some manage to earn an extra £1,000 a month through the work.

Iona said: “It is good money and it is so flexible. Their living costs and everything is going up so it is a great way to help balance that.“
Nick Webb
She said the company was so popular it was growing almost faster than it could handle.

“Britain can’t get enough of those gorgeous guys. We can’t actually keep up with demand from customers. We are always going to be recruiting for guys. It’s crazy.“

Nick Webb (pictured right), 20, from Brighton, who auditioned for a job, said:“I am quite an exhibitionist so it is kind of an ideal job for me.“ Nick, who works in a clothes shop, has previously been pictured on a Brighton and Hove bus.

» Brighton Lights 31

Our new programme for thelatest.tv sees Juice FM presenter Guy Lloyd investigate all manner of things. He starts off with chart-topping band The Hoosiers who were mega-successful a couple of years ago, were dropped by their major label and have become fashionably independent. Their chart-topping album cost £1 million to record, their new album £100 and we reckon it's just as good. We have exclusive footage of this new record. Guy does crazy-golfing with them, checks out their sound-check and witnesses the fans' adoration of the band at Audio in Brighton. In future shows Guy will be doing waxing, Dot Cotton, air guitar and needs your suggestions for more crazy things (or people) to do. Send to bill@thelatest.co.uk
