Andrew Kay returns to the Elizabethan Cottage Tandoori

Curry favour

In a previous incarnation I was a car-driving commuter. I would power up and down the M23 five days a week to do my job in publishing, and at the time the car was my best economic choice. Each evening I had two landmarks that would cheer me on my way. The first was the seven o’clock pips on BBC Radio 4 that would herald the start of The Archers, a serious addiction that I have since fought to curb. The second came in Patcham and was the sign for the Elizabethan Cottage Tandoori. It meant that home was only 15 minutes away. If the two happened to coincide all was well; if not, it could mean I was running very late and I would have to sit in the car listening to the end of the drama. Happy, well, happy-ish days.

» Brighton Lights 31

Our new programme for thelatest.tv sees Juice FM presenter Guy Lloyd investigate all manner of things. He starts off with chart-topping band The Hoosiers who were mega-successful a couple of years ago, were dropped by their major label and have become fashionably independent. Their chart-topping album cost £1 million to record, their new album £100 and we reckon it's just as good. We have exclusive footage of this new record. Guy does crazy-golfing with them, checks out their sound-check and witnesses the fans' adoration of the band at Audio in Brighton. In future shows Guy will be doing waxing, Dot Cotton, air guitar and needs your suggestions for more crazy things (or people) to do. Send to bill@thelatest.co.uk
