Where do the celeb boys sleep in Sussex? And who’s the best daddy? It’s Celebcity with Jo Brooks

This week’s showbiz update is all about the male celebrity. Firstly to a hotel in Sussex who where a fair few male celebs have been staying over of late. The Felbridge Hotel and Spa, in East Grinstead – just a short drive up the M23, is fast becoming the celeb hotel of choice in West Sussex. In the last six months alone the hotel has played host to Dr Who actor David Tennant, Men Behaving Badly star Martin Clunes and just two weeks ago, Ant and Dec.

The Felbridge Hotel

The comedy duo, I’m told, shared a room (pictured) while attending a wedding nearby and made time to stop and chat to guests staying in the hotel and even made a two-year-old howl with laughter in reception! Read the rest of this article »

Maroon 5 snag the best pizza in town. It’s Celebcity with Jo Brooks.

Heather ‘tread-Mills’

Heather MillsWhen the sun deigned to come out from behind the clouds last weekend, I headed to Brighton beach to soak up a few rays. Passing the Rip Tide gym under the arches, who should I see exercising right in the window, going hell for leather on the machines? None other than everyone’s favourite divorcée, Heather Mills. I half expected to be mown down by paparazzi – but it seems interest is now waning in the ex-Lady McCartney.

Talking of sunny summer days, if you’re looking for a unique family festival this year – then the one to book is artist Gavin Turk’s House of Fairytales, a four day festival of theater arts and imagination taking place in the beautiful surroundings of Sudeley Castle, the 15th century home of Henry Dent-Brocklehurst and Lili Maltese. Gavin’s partner, artist and illustrator Deborah Curtis, is an ex- Brightonian and the touring version of the House of Fairytales, called the Caravan of Fairytales was a big hit in the city during Brighton Festival. www.houseoffairytales.org

Look who’s been spotted in Brighton this week, it’s Celebcity with Jo Brooks

Holly WilloughbyDancing on Ice presenter Holly Willoughby is stepping into her best mate Fearne Cotton’s heels as the Xtra Factor presenter. Holly, 27, from Burgess Hill, who is famous for her very daring necklines on the ice dancing show, will take over fronting the ITV2 programme, when it returns to our screens in the summer. Apparently there were no hard feelings between the blondes. A reliable source said: “Fearne and Simon (Cowell) hated each other. Our new programme for thelatest.tv sees Juice FM presenter Guy Lloyd investigate all manner of things. He starts off with chart-topping band The Hoosiers who were mega-successful a couple of years ago, were dropped by their major label and have become fashionably independent. Their chart-topping album cost £1 million to record, their new album £100 and we reckon it's just as good. We have exclusive footage of this new record. Guy does crazy-golfing with them, checks out their sound-check and witnesses the fans' adoration of the band at Audio in Brighton. In future shows Guy will be doing waxing, Dot Cotton, air guitar and needs your suggestions for more crazy things (or people) to do. Send to bill@thelatest.co.uk
