» Feature: More Christmas Parties

More Crackers: In the second instalment of our Festive parties and dinner special, Latest 7 presents eight more fabulous ideas for your Christmas outing

Christmas is coming and the goose is getting worried – well, wouldn’t you be? But on a more serious note, Christmas is fast approaching and with every passing day the better places for parties and Christmas meals are getting booked up. So if you don’t want to be celebrating your festive season with fast food and cheap plonk than now is the time to arrange it.

If the thought of turkey makes you reel then why not head off to The Elizabethan Cottage Tandoori? Their Christmas Day lunch special menu starts with papadum and chutney and then a choice of chicken chaat, onion bhajee, tandoori chicken, samosa (meat or veg) or chicken or vegetable soup (also hot with chilli). Main course choices are hydrabadi chicken (mild), gowan chicken massala (medium), garlic chilli chicken (hot), mixed curry (prawn, chicken, meat – medium) or a fish tikka or fish massala. You can also choose one side dish: banana bhajee, pineapple bhajee, onion bhajee, Bombay potato or sag aloo, followed by dessert or coffee, and all for only £18.99 per person (king prawn dishes £2.50 extra). They also offer a special mouthwatering dish of kulchi lamb – a full four-course meal choosing a starter and side dish from the above list. At £27.50 per person (advanced order necessary and a minimum of four people), this special offer also includes a bottle of red or white wine.

» Brighton Lights 31

Our new programme for thelatest.tv sees Juice FM presenter Guy Lloyd investigate all manner of things. He starts off with chart-topping band The Hoosiers who were mega-successful a couple of years ago, were dropped by their major label and have become fashionably independent. Their chart-topping album cost £1 million to record, their new album £100 and we reckon it's just as good. We have exclusive footage of this new record. Guy does crazy-golfing with them, checks out their sound-check and witnesses the fans' adoration of the band at Audio in Brighton. In future shows Guy will be doing waxing, Dot Cotton, air guitar and needs your suggestions for more crazy things (or people) to do. Send to bill@thelatest.co.uk
