Sandra Omo on the importance of versatility and confidence

After my ordeal of last week, I saw an amazing upturn in my modelling career this week. Sitting at home all day, expecting a miracle to happen – as I really needed one to get on the move again – I got a call from an unknown number. Oh yes, I always do. I am a model you remember? Yeah, there goes my arrogance again – I need it once in a while. It helps me keep my focus.

Sandra Omo gets duped at a casting call

Other than a very hectic week at my normal job, my week was spent looking forward to a casting at the end of the week. I had missed a casting call the previous day owing to the fact that I had no time to check my emails, as I had to work the whole day. Therefore attending this casting was the only remedy to curing my guilt, and the fact that it was for a fashion show just made it even more exciting because I am confident of my ability to walk any runway, and I love it.

Our new programme for thelatest.tv sees Juice FM presenter Guy Lloyd investigate all manner of things. He starts off with chart-topping band The Hoosiers who were mega-successful a couple of years ago, were dropped by their major label and have become fashionably independent. Their chart-topping album cost £1 million to record, their new album £100 and we reckon it's just as good. We have exclusive footage of this new record. Guy does crazy-golfing with them, checks out their sound-check and witnesses the fans' adoration of the band at Audio in Brighton.
