» Celebcity: Katie Price is back in town

Katie’s back in Brighton along with The X Factor’s Alexandra Burke and the Nolan sisters!

Back in town
Newly single Katie Price popped into Brighton last Wednesday, fresh from clubbing in Ibiza. Katie, accompanied by pal Julie Coates (owner of the Lanes Health and Beauty) and brother Dan, grabbed a bit of lunch in Moshi Moshi where I was also having a bit of al fresco lunch. Katie seemed fine as we chatted, contrary to what the tabloids are reporting.

Alexandra’s blog
Also in Brighton last week was X-Factor winner Alexandra Burke – who managed to keep a low profile – but Celeb City soon heard on the grapevine that she was in town!

Alexandra, who won the show last December, is currently recording her debut album in the US and UK, but I’m told was taking a well earned break in the middle of it all.

Alexandra’s latest blog reads: ”Wow! So sorry it’s taken me a while to do a blog since I’ve been home, but I went straight into the studio and I’ve been loving every minute of it! It feels so good to be home!

Can you believe that as soon as I landed, I started clapping on the plane! I was the only one doing that but it just felt amazing to be on UK soil.

LA, San Francisco and NY were all great and I can’t wait to go back there! Next time I want to try and go to a theme park though, LOL. I haven’t been to one in ages and I hear the ones out there are the best.

I can’t believe how fast this year has gone. I hope you’re all enjoying your summer! I can’t wait for this album to be finished so you can all hear the songs. I’m having an amazing time creating it. This is a real dream!”

Sister act
Coleen, Bernie, Linda and Maureen are back with their first tour together in 25 years! The Nolans ‘In The Mood Again Tour’ – will be the ultimate girls’ night out! Long before the Spice Girls, Bananarama, Girls Aloud or the Sugababes, The Nolans rocked the UK and international charts with their infectious pop music that really put us in the mood for dancing.

Just in time to celebrate their 30th anniversary they are returning with a new tour, album and DVD.

The chart topping Nolans sold over 25 million records worldwide and became a global phenomenon with their hugely successful single ’ I’m in the Mood For Dancing,’ which topped the charts around the world. They even sold over nine-million records in Japan alone – that’s more than the Beatles!

Other chart busters included ’Attention to Me’, ‘Who’s Gonna Rock You’, ‘Don’t Make Waves’ and ’Gotta Pull Myself Together’ proving girl power started with The Nolans.

The Nolans play the Brighton Centre on 29 October. Tickets are available priced £35.

» Brighton Lights 31

Our new programme for thelatest.tv sees Juice FM presenter Guy Lloyd investigate all manner of things. He starts off with chart-topping band The Hoosiers who were mega-successful a couple of years ago, were dropped by their major label and have become fashionably independent. Their chart-topping album cost £1 million to record, their new album £100 and we reckon it's just as good. We have exclusive footage of this new record. Guy does crazy-golfing with them, checks out their sound-check and witnesses the fans' adoration of the band at Audio in Brighton. In future shows Guy will be doing waxing, Dot Cotton, air guitar and needs your suggestions for more crazy things (or people) to do. Send to bill@thelatest.co.uk
