A seasonal treat and fantastic savings with Spamalot at Theatre Royal Brighton
The international smash hit musical comedy Spamalot gallops into Theatre Royal Brighton from Thursday 15 December 2011 to Saturday 14 January 2012. If you are looking for a feel-good family outing this Christmas, then look no further. Spamalot is harmlessly funny, very silly and has dancing, audience participation and great songs. It is truly a pantomime for all seasons. ‘Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life’, voted the nation’s favourite song, is guaranteed to have children (aged 8+), parents, teenagers and grandparents singing along.
Written by original Python Eric Idle and John Du Prez, Spamalot is based on the story of King Arthur and his Knights – think Horrible Histories crossed with Merlin. The cast includes Marcus Brigstocke (CBBC’s Sorry I’ve Got No Head, BBC’s Have I Got News For You, QI etc) who plays King Arthur; Todd Carty (Tucker in Grange Hill and Tucker’s Luck, Mark in EastEnders) who plays his hapless sidekick Patsy, and Jodie Prenger (Winner of BBC’s I’d Do Anything, playing Nancy in the West End’s Oliver!) plays Lady of the Lake. All three won rave reviews when the show visited Brighton last year.
Making a trip to Spamalot even more affordable, the new ATG Theatre Card (annual fee £30) offers theatregoers a range of benefits, including a reduction of £5 per ticket on price bands A & B for all off-peak matinee performances of Spamalot (up to four tickets).
The card’s other benefits include priority tickets, ticket offers (including half price tickets on selected shows), no booking or postage fees on most shows, priority brochure mailing, fee free ticket exchange and 10 per cent savings on pre show and interval drinks. The card is accepted at 39 venues across the UK and in the West End.
Spamalot, Theatre Royal Brighton, Thursday 15 December 2011–Saturday 14 January 2012.
Book tickets online at www.atgtickets.com/brighton (bkg fee) or call 0844 871 7650 (bkg fee). Spamalot is suitable for children aged 8+ at parents’ discretion.

» Brighton Lights 31

Our new programme for thelatest.tv sees Juice FM presenter Guy Lloyd investigate all manner of things. He starts off with chart-topping band The Hoosiers who were mega-successful a couple of years ago, were dropped by their major label and have become fashionably independent. Their chart-topping album cost £1 million to record, their new album £100 and we reckon it's just as good. We have exclusive footage of this new record. Guy does crazy-golfing with them, checks out their sound-check and witnesses the fans' adoration of the band at Audio in Brighton. In future shows Guy will be doing waxing, Dot Cotton, air guitar and needs your suggestions for more crazy things (or people) to do. Send to bill@thelatest.co.uk
