» Film: Mission Impossible – Ghost Protocol (tbc)

Director: Brad Bird

Anyone got a feeling of Mission Impossible deja vu? It would seem that the reason for this ‘ghost protocol’ would be that Ethan Hunt’s brand new team (including Simon Pegg) have got to go underground in the wake of some global bombing plot the IMF was blamed for.

Remember the plot for Tom Cruise’s first Mission Impossible film when some bombing happened and he had to go underground with the unjustified blame full square on his shoulders? Just saying. We’re sure this is very different…

With plenty of action scenes guaranteed, winning smiles from Señor Cruise aplenty and the mix of old and new faces including Ving Rhames, Tom Wilkinson, Josh Holloway, Paula Patton and Jeremy Renner, you can be sure the journey to the truth will be an eventful one.

Released Friday 30 December 2011
Showing at Odeon and Cineworld

» Brighton Lights 31

Our new programme for thelatest.tv sees Juice FM presenter Guy Lloyd investigate all manner of things. He starts off with chart-topping band The Hoosiers who were mega-successful a couple of years ago, were dropped by their major label and have become fashionably independent. Their chart-topping album cost £1 million to record, their new album £100 and we reckon it's just as good. We have exclusive footage of this new record. Guy does crazy-golfing with them, checks out their sound-check and witnesses the fans' adoration of the band at Audio in Brighton. In future shows Guy will be doing waxing, Dot Cotton, air guitar and needs your suggestions for more crazy things (or people) to do. Send to bill@thelatest.co.uk
