Head to the Brighton Heath & Racquets Club for a life-changing Esporta health and fitness experience

With first-class racquet facilities, state-of-the art gym equipment, luxurious swimming and spa areas, restaurant, classes of all types, crèche and children’s classes, specialist sport shop, health and beauty treatments and a wealth of social events, Esporta really does have the lot.
The club boasts a 25 metre indoor pool, a 20 metre outdoor heated pool (open all year round), children’s pool, spa, steam and sauna and newly refurbished changing facilities. Plus a state-of-the-art fitness arena and over 75 studio classes a week, from salsa to spin. You can also try your hand at the extensive racquets facilities: eight indoor and three outdoors (covered throughout the winter) tennis courts, plus squash and badminton courts.

To help you change the way you look and feel they offer three personal fitness consultations with one of the fully qualified instructors. In the first session the instructor will give you a lifestyle consultation and set you up a programme to get you started in your exercise regime. The second session will follow your progress and amend your programme with a training plan. The final session will be to reassess your fitness goals and develop your training for the future and ongoing fitness.
You don’t need to work up a sweat to make the most of Esporta.
The social aspect is second to none with regular quiz nights, tribute acts, comedy nights, fireworks and salsa nights. Or you can just catch up with friends in the bar, with all the live sports action.
If you would rather relax, then the newly refurbished treatment room will be perfect for you. Be pampered by the team of fully qualified beauty therapists with a range of beauty treatments, or use the in-house stylist Ricky Clarke. Then head to the restaurant to choose a well-deserved meal from the large menu, serving all day, plus a drink or two from the fully licensed bar.

» Brighton Lights 31

Our new programme for thelatest.tv sees Juice FM presenter Guy Lloyd investigate all manner of things. He starts off with chart-topping band The Hoosiers who were mega-successful a couple of years ago, were dropped by their major label and have become fashionably independent. Their chart-topping album cost £1 million to record, their new album £100 and we reckon it's just as good. We have exclusive footage of this new record. Guy does crazy-golfing with them, checks out their sound-check and witnesses the fans' adoration of the band at Audio in Brighton. In future shows Guy will be doing waxing, Dot Cotton, air guitar and needs your suggestions for more crazy things (or people) to do. Send to bill@thelatest.co.uk

AOH Special: It’s Festival time in Brighton & Hove, which means the Artists Open Houses have opened their doors for another year! Maps of all the trails can be picked up across the city. We love nothing better than browsing and buying arts and crafts, and there is so much going on throughout May that we’ve made it easier by bringing the Artists Open Houses to you! We have 11 special programmes, featuring artists in their own houses. So here’s your chance to go ‘through the keyhole’ so to speak as we visit the artists in their own environment.
