» Gown and Out

Gown and Out is the title of the new, one man, ‘15 woman’ show coming to the The Old Market this November.

Gown and out

This is the only place you can see icons Cher, Diana Dors, Joan Collins, Amy Winehouse, Tina Turner and Her Majesty The Queen together in one show as Ceri Dupree delivers impressive vocal impersonations and hilarious stand-up.

He will dress in thousands of pounds worth of costumes, bringing a touch of Las Vegas to the UK.

His sister, Ria Jones, has performed at the Theatre Royal, Brighton three years running, keeping the city of Brighton a close family affair. Ria starred as Mrs O in the UK tour of Acorn Antiques. The year prior to that, as Reno Sweeney in Anything Goes, and before that, as Liz Imbrie in the UK tour of High Society.

Ceri has entertained audiences for almost 25 years through musical theatre, pantomime, summer season, television and cabaret. He has performed at various major and esteemed venues throughout England, Ireland, Scotland and his birthplace Wales.

He has written and produced his own shows nationwide, from Ladies of Legend, The Ceri Dupree Spectacular and Totally Frocked Up, among others.

Ceri Dupree is seen as more than a comic in a frock. Past reviews have praised the elegant and professional show, effortlessly moving between character and caricature.

‘Gown and Out’ at The Old Market, Upper Market Street, Hove on Tuesday 11 and
Wednesday 12 November. For more information or to book call 01273 736222.

  1. Michelle Olivetti Says:

I would love to see you as Diana Dors in a mermaid gown with long gloves like what she wore when she visited the Queen in 1950′s.

» Brighton Lights 31

Our new programme for thelatest.tv sees Juice FM presenter Guy Lloyd investigate all manner of things. He starts off with chart-topping band The Hoosiers who were mega-successful a couple of years ago, were dropped by their major label and have become fashionably independent. Their chart-topping album cost £1 million to record, their new album £100 and we reckon it's just as good. We have exclusive footage of this new record. Guy does crazy-golfing with them, checks out their sound-check and witnesses the fans' adoration of the band at Audio in Brighton. In future shows Guy will be doing waxing, Dot Cotton, air guitar and needs your suggestions for more crazy things (or people) to do. Send to bill@thelatest.co.uk
