Mind, body and the Christmas spirit
At Uniquely Organic EcoSpa we all love Christmas. We love the fairy lights, the traditional music and the festive cheer of our customers as the Crimbo countdown gets going. We are also really fired up about the amazing gift ideas we’ve got in stock and the luxurious treatments now available including our wonderful organic body wraps.

To my mind, the run up to Christmas is almost as exciting as the big day itself with all the planning, shopping, decorating and preparations involved and, if you’re like me, you will be doing plenty of celebrating one way or another throughout December.

One novel way to see a friend and wind down at the same time is by having a pre-Christmas spa treatment in a shared treatment room. A massage or facial can be pure bliss and a welcome change from the usual ‘meal out’. Try out our new organic body wraps, simply the pinnacle of indulgence and just the thing to relieve stress.

And you can languish without any qualms at all because all our treatments and products are pure, natural and certified organic so contain nothing that will harm the environment.

Gift ideas and a special festive party
Our best-selling presents by far are Uniquely Organic gift vouchers in various denominations from £5 upwards. These can be exchanged for a sublime treatment or products, and I think they’re brilliant for giving to anyone in a demanding job or with children. The therapeutic power of touch is well established and, by combining this with the gift of ‘time out’, you can hardly go wrong (plus you can buy them online)!

This year we’re trialling a ‘build-your-own-gift’ idea. You choose a fair-trade wooden gift box (or a paper carrier) and fill it with items of your choice – we have some fantastic organic products including Pinks Boutique skincare, Chakrosanct body massage oils (our own label), Nvey eco organic cosmetics, Zoya nail varnishes and Balm Balm aromatherapy oils (which, incidentally, are fantastic for creating a Christmassy atmosphere at home).
We’ve got some fair-trade merchandise to include too, such as incense sticks and holders, oil burners, crystal bracelets, sensual Pukka teas, and little Buddha statues and candle holders… oh, and who’s for a singing bowl?

Please come along to our Christmas party on Thursday 15 December, 6pm–8pm at the EcoSpa. Have some wine and snacks, do some gift shopping and enjoy some special offers. Merry Christmas!

» Brighton Lights 31

Our new programme for thelatest.tv sees Juice FM presenter Guy Lloyd investigate all manner of things. He starts off with chart-topping band The Hoosiers who were mega-successful a couple of years ago, were dropped by their major label and have become fashionably independent. Their chart-topping album cost £1 million to record, their new album £100 and we reckon it's just as good. We have exclusive footage of this new record. Guy does crazy-golfing with them, checks out their sound-check and witnesses the fans' adoration of the band at Audio in Brighton. In future shows Guy will be doing waxing, Dot Cotton, air guitar and needs your suggestions for more crazy things (or people) to do. Send to bill@thelatest.co.uk

» Artists Open Houses

AOH Special: It’s Festival time in Brighton & Hove, which means the Artists Open Houses have opened their doors for another year! Maps of all the trails can be picked up across the city. We love nothing better than browsing and buying arts and crafts, and there is so much going on throughout May that we’ve made it easier by bringing the Artists Open Houses to you! We have 11 special programmes, featuring artists in their own houses. So here’s your chance to go ‘through the keyhole’ so to speak as we visit the artists in their own environment.
