Their treatment list is extensive, and while most customers may pop along for a St Tropez spray tan, massage or waxing, there are plenty of services to draw in clients. A visit is perfect for the festive party season ahead, with treatments available from top to toe. I was left in the capable hands of Sophie at Beautique, to experience a tailor-made pampering package, starting with the eyes. Well groomed and perfectly-shaped brows can transform the face. A warm waxing treatment was applied to the eyebrows to define their shape and get rid of stragglers you just can’t see with tweezers. Treatment is quick and results last around four weeks.
A quick way to instant glamour is an eyelash tint that gives the effect of mascara without using any. Ideal for holidays too, a tint means you can skip a step in your daily make-up routine. A patch test is required 24 hours beforehand in case of a reaction. Cream and cotton pads were applied under the eyes to stop the tint reaching the skin. Blue/black tint was applied to the lower lashes and then the top and left to develop for five to 10 minutes. Shades depend on hair colour, the blue/black being the darkest. It is then cleansed away gently with mascaraed eyes as a result that last around four to six weeks. Beautique also offer an eyelash perm that pumps up lashes for great effect, eradicating the need for false lashes for a night out.
The eyes taken care of, a luxury exfoliation treatment before a spray tan was an instant pick-me-up for tired skin. The Dermalogica product applied smelt gorgeous and natural, and exfoliated the skin ready for the spray tan. Its green aloe vera base means there will be no orange nightmare. The tan develops over eight hours and a healthy glow is the perfect remedy to beat the winter blues.
That, and a luxury OPI manicure while seated on the pink stools at the chic nail bar. A French manicure is traditional and chic and is the perfect look for parties and work. You may be tempted by the fabulous French OPI colours new to Beautique, with deep purples and reds, which are great for winter.
