When did you play for the Albion?
1982-1985.
What’s your most memorable match?
The 1983 Cup final at Wembley.

Head of Talent ID at Nike. Identifying new football talent and signing them for Nike. Jack Wilshire is a recent player signed.
Worst moment in football?
Relegation in ’83, then getting old and no longer playing.
Do you still watch games?
Yes, my son just signed for Everton and I go and watch him when I can.
Is Gus Poyet a good manager?
Yes, he’s doing a fantastic job, playing football the right way.
Who had the biggest effect on your career?
Not the biggest but certainly the most relevant: Former Albion boss Alan Mullery selling me to Brighton when he was manager at Crystal Palace.
Did you enjoy coaching?
I was at Gillingham with Mike Flannagan and then took over as caretaker but there is no substitute for playing.
Will the Albion do well this season?
Yes!
Is promotion to the Premier League achievable?
One day yes, but it might be best not to rush it. Gus is doing a great job, so why not?
