What is HypnoBirthing? ®

HypnoBirthing combines the use of self hypnosis with childbirth education. This method of natural childbirth preparation has been taught by Sussex Natural Childbirth for over eight years and has the support of many midwives who have seen the relaxed more comfortable births resulting from HypnoBirthing.

What do we teach?

We teach women and their birth companions how to achieve very deep relaxation, which increases confidence and reduces any fear so that it does not hinder the progress of labour and birthing. When there is no fear around birthing it gives women a greater chance of achieving a more relaxed, shorter and comfortable birthing. In addition we definitely notice that the babies are a lot calmer when mum has practised these methods. In essence, HypnoBirthing, teaches women that, in the absence of fear and tension, severe pain does not have to be an accompaniment of labour.

One Response to “HypnoBirthing”

  1. Katharine Graves Says:

I just wish that every mother could learn HypnoBirthing as I see time and time again what a difference it makes. We all know that, to be a top sportsman or woman, you have to have your body in tip-tip condition, but you also have to have your mind focussed. That’s why sports psychologists earn a fortunte. Your body does nothing without the mind telling it to. Without the mind it is simply a hunk of meat. It is because of this that HypnoBirthing works so well and makes all the difference to your birth.

Katharine Graves teaches HypnoBirthing classes in London and Wiltshire

» Brighton Lights 31

Our new programme for thelatest.tv sees Juice FM presenter Guy Lloyd investigate all manner of things. He starts off with chart-topping band The Hoosiers who were mega-successful a couple of years ago, were dropped by their major label and have become fashionably independent. Their chart-topping album cost £1 million to record, their new album £100 and we reckon it's just as good. We have exclusive footage of this new record. Guy does crazy-golfing with them, checks out their sound-check and witnesses the fans' adoration of the band at Audio in Brighton. In future shows Guy will be doing waxing, Dot Cotton, air guitar and needs your suggestions for more crazy things (or people) to do. Send to bill@thelatest.co.uk
