Nick Rivett Sport opens in Hove, offering specialist knowledge and excellent service

Nick Rivett Sport Ltd opened its doors on 28 May at 64 Church Road, bringing a traditional sports shop back to the city. Situated among other local independent retailers and popular coffee shops, Nick Rivett Sport is the newest addition to the Hove retail community, which is positive news given the current economic insecurity.
As the name suggests, Nick Rivett Sport is owned and established by Nick Rivett – a Brighton University graduate and a resident of Hove. It has been Nick’s dream to own a sports shop in Hove but it was his commitment to Lewes Cricket Club and being part of several local sporting communities that made him realise the serious gap in the local market. “I know first hand how hard it is to find high quality sports kits and good customer service in Brighton and Hove,” he says. “The larger national sports retailers are great for standard sports kits, but they don’t always have the personal customer service and expertise you need when purchasing specialist equipment. You really need to love your cricket bat, hockey stick or running trainers. Having the right equipment can make such a difference to your game.”
Inspired by a need for specialist product knowledge and service within the sports retail sector, Nick Rivett Sport was born. Their ethos is simple: to bring customer service back!
Specialising in all major sports from cricket, tennis, running, fitness, rugby, swim, darts and much more – if you can’t find what you are looking for in store, they will try their very best to order it just for you!

Came to Hove today and visited J.J.B. sports, Goldstone retail park as usual. Yes purchased a couple of items in their sale. Then parked for Nero outside Nick Rivetts Went inside having seen something in the window that caught my eye. Appreciated the personal touch and knowledge that a ‘big’ chain doesn’t offer. I hope that ‘recession’ or no ‘recession’ it continues to do well and I shall be calling again.
