Quality casual wear from established lifestyle brands at the newly opened Oak Clothing

Brighton has recently welcomed a new independent retailer, Oak Clothing, to The Lanes. Located at 16 Brighton Place, Oak brings an exciting range of ladies and children’s lifestyle brands to the city.
Established and trusted fashions from Joules, Mistral, Crew, Toggi and Frugi make Oak the perfect place to find top quality casual clothing at affordable prices.

Joules, a range born in the British countryside, is well known for upbeat, colourful, yet warm and practical clothing for women and children who love the outdoors.

Mistral is family owned and ensures all garments are designed with love and care. Their range of delicate knitwear is comfortable yet feminine, and skirts and tops can be adapted for any occasion be it work, rest or play.

Crew epitomises British casual luxury with its coastal roots and British heritage and brings clothing for the fun yet relaxed, lifestyle we all deserve, and Toggi boasts that warm country welcome, with colours and designs that truly make you feel at home.

Frugi’s colourful range of organic clothing for the little ones is designed to make you laugh and smile, the way kids’ clothes should be. Frugi fabrics are soft, comfortable and especially kind to young skin.
So be it for walking the dog, dropping the kids at school or having that cozy lunch with friends, pop in to Oak and let their friendly and welcoming staff find you that ideal outfit.

With the Christmas rush almost over, why not treat yourself to a few bargains and ‘see the feeling’ for yourself.

Live Life – Love Oak.

Open Monday to Saturday 9.30am–6pm and Sunday 11am–5pm. Oak Clothing, 16 Brighton Place, Brighton, BN1 1HJ, (just off East Street past Snow & Rock, opposite Donatello). www.oakclothing.co.uk.

» Brighton Lights 31

Our new programme for thelatest.tv sees Juice FM presenter Guy Lloyd investigate all manner of things. He starts off with chart-topping band The Hoosiers who were mega-successful a couple of years ago, were dropped by their major label and have become fashionably independent. Their chart-topping album cost £1 million to record, their new album £100 and we reckon it's just as good. We have exclusive footage of this new record. Guy does crazy-golfing with them, checks out their sound-check and witnesses the fans' adoration of the band at Audio in Brighton. In future shows Guy will be doing waxing, Dot Cotton, air guitar and needs your suggestions for more crazy things (or people) to do. Send to bill@thelatest.co.uk

AOH Special: It’s Festival time in Brighton & Hove, which means the Artists Open Houses have opened their doors for another year! Maps of all the trails can be picked up across the city. We love nothing better than browsing and buying arts and crafts, and there is so much going on throughout May that we’ve made it easier by bringing the Artists Open Houses to you! We have 11 special programmes, featuring artists in their own houses. So here’s your chance to go ‘through the keyhole’ so to speak as we visit the artists in their own environment.
