Heather Mills looks to be settling in to life without Paul McCartney, as she finds a new man. It’s Celebcity with Jo Brooks
A Sunday newspaper has revealed that local resident Heather Mills has a good-looking new toy boy.
Heather, who landed a £24million divorce deal from Sir Paul earlier this year, met hunky holiday rep Jamie Walker, 36, when she recently stayed at the Tenerife hotel where he works. She fell for Jamie after she saw him caring for daughter Beatrice at the resort’s kids club. The couple have been out on dates in Tenerife and have also been spotted together in the city.
It was only two months ago that Heather voiced her displeasure when ex-husband Paul took Beatrice on holiday with new love Nancy Shevell – what’s good for the goose, eh Heather? Heather is apparently the newest celebrity to sign on for the US celebrity version of The Apprentice. Reportedly, tycoon Donald Trump admires the ex-model’s ‘fighting spirit’ and tips her for the final. For me, the real star of the show is the fabulously elaborate Trump comb-over…
If the Price is right…
Our favourite glamour girl, Katie Price, has moved house yet again. Now Katie and hubby Peter have reportedly snapped up a seven bedroom, ex-old folk’s home in Surrey for £2.5million. The new pad cost some £500,000 less than their previous home, also in Surrey, and the couple are spending the difference on converting the new place into a stunning family home. Katie, Peter and their sons Harvey, six, and Junior, three, and 11-month-old daughter Princess Tiáamii, moved in on Monday. Best of luck in your new home Price-Andrés!
Plastic people
Members from six eighties pop bands – including Hove-based David Van Day – will undergo dramatic plastic surgery for a shock new TV show, Pop Goes the Band. Eurovision winners Bucks Fizz, Dollar, 911, Shakatak, Visage and Cleopatra will have boob jobs, face-lifts, nose jobs, botox and liposuction, starting next week. Then, the former charttoppers – who have sold 30 million albums between them – will reunite to perform together on the Living TV series. Oh dear.

Bill’s, Bill’s, Bill’s. And Preston
Spotted (again) – Preston from the Ordinary Boys having breakfast with friends in our favourite North Laine deli, Bill’s. And what a discerning man he is… because dear reader, we spied a copy of Latest 7 in his carrier bag. Hiya Preston! Hot news on the cool North Road delicatessen is that restaurant group Caprice Holdings have made a significant investment in Bill’s.
The group owns The Ivy, J Sheekey and the fabulous Daphne’s in South Kensington – where I had dinner last night. With current premises in Lewes and Brighton, Bill’s could soon be rolled out across the south. Congratulations to everyone at Bill’s – we’ll be in for a celebratory glass of smoothie number one soon!
Like father, like daughter
Deana Martin – daughter of legendary Rat Pack singer Dean Martin – is to play a gig in East Sussex. The tribute to her legendary father Dean Martin and his fellow ‘Rat Packers’ Frank Sinatra and Sammy Davis Junior, will take place at Bateman’s, the former home of Rudyard Kipling, in Burwash in early August. The show then transfers to the London Palladium – Dean would be proud…
England in Euro 2008 final! Sort of…
Brighton and Hove Albion’s 5,000th goal scorer, Colin ‘the Coca-Cola kid’ Kazim-Richards has ensured that an English player will take part in this summer’s Euro 2008 finals. Kazim-Richards (pictured here with the lovely Mikele Addis from Albion sponsor, Donatello) was bought by ex-Albion boss Mark McGhee in 2005 when an Albion fan won the first £250,000 Coca-Cola ‘buy a player’ windfall. Now playing for Turkish team Fenerbahçe under the name of Kazim Kazim, he has a Turkish Cypriot mother and therefore qualifies as a Turkish player, and will take centre stage in their European semi-final against Germany.
