» Review: Brighton Festival – The Art Of Laughter
Jos Houben’s masterclass cum seminar on physical comedy was a treat, a delight and a privilege. As welcome and warm as a favourite embrace, Houben’s presentation was punctuated frequently with laughs both big and small from his audience, prompted by his demonstrations and concepts that ranged from demonstrating the tension between two bodies that can cause humour to becoming cheese. Graceful, thought-provoking, utterly intriguing so that it had us on the edge of our seats eager for more. I would recommend anyone who has ever had an interest in humour, be it performing or watching, to make this a priority to see.
