» Review: Camille O’Sullivan – The Dark Angel
Part bordello temptress, part Parisian chanteuse, Camille O’Sullivan tantalises throughout with her husky covers of Tom Waits, Nick Cave and Kurt Weil songs. Dressed to the nines and unashamedly enjoying herself as she prowls the stage and front rows, her decadence is delightful as she consumes a bottle of wine over the course of the show, pooh-poohing a glass of water when she happens upon it. Not only is O’Sullivan an excellent singer but her showmanship tells of her history at the Spiegeltent as she embraces her ‘boys’ in the band and engages with the audience. Top dollar divine. We can’t wait till she next returns.
