» Review: Olly Murs
Just over a year since coming runner up in The X Factor, professional cheeky chappie and all-round charmer Olly Murs has already found his niche serving up his own brand of reggae-infused pop to an adoring – predominantly female – public.
Murs was on great form, and his mere presence – let alone the the music, the dance routines and the banter – was enough to keep the fans screaming.
While his material doesn’t always make the most of his soulful voice it is hard to fault the infectious energy, and the lively Olly Murs dance routines, the great backing dancers/singers and a tight nine-piece band all ensured a smooth performance. The set comprised of songs from his self-titled debut album including ‘Please Don’t Let Me Go’ and ‘Thinking Of Me’, a selection of covers, and the soon-to-be released new single ‘Busy’.
