» Review: Popcorn Comedy
A little unknown comedy circuit that intermingles media with live stand-up, Popcorn Comedy celebrates the not so politically correct, satirical short film. The most recurred pieces were auto-tuned music videos featuring popular film and television clips like, Planet of the Apes. However, the favoured segments amongst the crowd were the animation snip-bits, most notably Ant Blade’s Blues. Tom Webb’s sharp and somewhat uneasy lashings at members of the audience was hard not to revel in, but Joe Lycett stole the show with his off the cuff anecdotes, frivolous poetry and flawless impersonation of Peter Dickson (X Factor).
