» Review: The Noise Next Door

Improv comedy troupe The Noise Next Door hosted and headlined a fine evening of comedy, compèred by the loud and lively Sam Pacelli. Richard Rycroft, Chris Coxon and Tiernan Douieb provided the stand up – the extremely likeable Douieb was the pick of the bunch, although Coxon’s unusual set as the flirty, scat-singing Barry Tuttle was a fun contrast. The Noise Next Door finished with a high-energy, slick performance that was the highlight of the evening. Perhaps they were just a little too slick, their songs structured so tightly they lost some of the flying-by-the-seat-of-your-pants riskiness of improv. Still, they were great fun to watch, not least because they so clearly enjoyed every minute.
