» Review: The Space

The Space
The Space is a sometimes overlooked but valuably unique event, bringing leaders in the creative fields to an intimate arena. This month saw renowned photojournalist Edmond Terakopian introduce himself with a montage of his work, from Armenian earthquake coverage to Obama’s recent visit to Downing Street. A fascinating insight into the world of a serious journalist using images to convey more than words. Following him was comedian Josie Long, winner of last year’s Best Newcomer If.comedy award, a performer of comedy since she was 15 years old, over 10 years ago, and a leading light in the current wave of ‘nice’ comics. She provided insights and quips with her mix of awkward and articulate delivery. A unique chance to learn from singular individuals.

» Brighton Lights 31

Our new programme for thelatest.tv sees Juice FM presenter Guy Lloyd investigate all manner of things. He starts off with chart-topping band The Hoosiers who were mega-successful a couple of years ago, were dropped by their major label and have become fashionably independent. Their chart-topping album cost £1 million to record, their new album £100 and we reckon it's just as good. We have exclusive footage of this new record. Guy does crazy-golfing with them, checks out their sound-check and witnesses the fans' adoration of the band at Audio in Brighton. In future shows Guy will be doing waxing, Dot Cotton, air guitar and needs your suggestions for more crazy things (or people) to do. Send to bill@thelatest.co.uk
