» Review: The Space – Andy Parfitt & Chris Dickens
A welcome return for this, now quarterly, media-centric event began with host Lisa Holloway quizzing Radio 1 boss, Andy Parfitt. He spoke passionately of his childhood dream of working with John Peel, achieving this, and, ultimately, taking the call as boss when he died. Convincingly handling the question of obscene salaries for questionable talents such as Chris Moyles, he seemed a likeable man in an unenviable, if well-paid, job.
Oscar-winning film editor Chris Dickens, an initially nervous interviewee, told us about his influences and Slumdog Millionaire experiences with Danny Boyle in India plus his work on the Pegg/Frost movies. An essential event.
