» Reviews: Pull A Cracker with the Brighton Gay Men’s Chorus

Pull A Cracker with the Brighton Gay Men’s Chorus promised a night of Christmas favourites and pop and rock classics to get you in the festive mood, and they certainly did not disappoint! The sell out crowd were treated to a vast collection of songs, ranging from the traditional to the contemporary; from Leonard Cohen to Mariah Carey, with a ‘Hark The Herald Angels Sing’ and ‘Sister Act’ tribute thrown in for good measure. And if that wasn’t enough, there was compering from the brilliantly funny local lady Zoe Lyons and even an appearance from everyone’s favourite Eastender June Brown aka. Dot Cotton! It was a magical evening and judging by the rapturous applause and standing ovation at the end that was a feeling shared by everyone there. Just brilliant!

» Brighton Lights 31

Our new programme for thelatest.tv sees Juice FM presenter Guy Lloyd investigate all manner of things. He starts off with chart-topping band The Hoosiers who were mega-successful a couple of years ago, were dropped by their major label and have become fashionably independent. Their chart-topping album cost £1 million to record, their new album £100 and we reckon it's just as good. We have exclusive footage of this new record. Guy does crazy-golfing with them, checks out their sound-check and witnesses the fans' adoration of the band at Audio in Brighton. In future shows Guy will be doing waxing, Dot Cotton, air guitar and needs your suggestions for more crazy things (or people) to do. Send to bill@thelatest.co.uk
