UFO

Rock and roll may be the preserve of the young, but there’s no substitute for experience, and UFO gave the packed Concorde 2 a masterclass, rattling through songs from the new album ‘Seven Deadly’ as well as classic tracks. Phil Mogg’s voice was in fine form and fellow UFO stalwarts Andy Parker and Paul Raymond, new addition Vinnie Moore and the impressively animated Rob de Luca gave a tightly energetic performance. If American uber-guitarist Moore’s dextrous leadlines got a little lost in the (surprisingly quiet) mix, the audience didn’t care. They got what they came for: classic rock played classically.
