This pairing of two above average height male comics touches loosely on their stature but essentially is the opportunity for each of them to show off half an hour of material. Mark Diamond kicked off proceedings, proving himself an affable stage presence with a good line in impromptu banter. Moving into punchlines easily, his endearing persona forgave some of his weaker material and generally he delivered himself well. Then came the comedic pun barrage that is Darren Walsh. With a truckload of aural, visual and oral puns – some ridiculous and some silly – this was an onslaught and an invitation into a bizarrely odd world delivering both huge laughs and flat silences. A lovely pair of contrasting comics, both with their own distinct styles in progress.
