Marine Life: Brighton marina: Young Enterprise Trade Fair

Brighton Marina’s Kirsty Pollard looks forward to the Young Enterprise Trade Fair

Come and meet our new young entrepreneurs of Sussex at this Sunday’s Young Enterprise Trade Fair on Sunday 24 March in the Marina Square, 11am–4pm.

These young people of Sussex, all aged 15–19 are setting up a market place. There will be 25 stalls on display where you will be able to buy their products and be some of the first to see their innovative ideas for future companies. Young people will be attending from across the county representing over 12 different schools.

Through the Young Enterprise Company programme young people run their own real companies for one year with guidance and assistance from a volunteer mentor from within the local business community. These business volunteers come from a range of industries, all whose passion is to support young people.

The young people take on functional roles within their companies and this week’s Brighton Marina Trade Fair allows them to trade and promote their products/services.

The aim of Young Enterprise is for education and industry to forge links in order to develop the next generation who will run the British economy. This is promoted through “learning by doing” and this trade fair will highlight the creativity of young people.
We are delighted to be supporting the Young Enterprise. Be sure to come along and support the future of Britain!
