Competitions: Cracking The Fringe

As Brighton Fringe kicks off this week, spare a thought for all those who’ve learned how to put on a show the hard way. Cracking The Fringe is a ‘balls out’ guide to booking, organising and publicising an event in August’s Edinburgh Festival – a time of year when the city becomes a crowded madhouse of punters, promoters and performers.

Written by two festival veterans, Jon Gracey and Viv Egan, both of whom started at Brighton Fringe, the book talks you through the important stuff that no-one ever tells you – plus plenty advice on how to avoid getting ripped off. As a bonus, it’s funny with it too.

We’ve got five copies of the book to give away to budding fringe performers. To win your copy all you have to do is answer the following question:

The world’s largest arts festival takes place in which city?

To be in with a chance to win, email competitions@thelatest.co.uk with the name of the competition in the subject box and your answer to the question in the body of the email. Alternatively, write to us at the address at the front of the magazine. Don’t forget to give your name, address and telephone number. Closing date for entries: Monday 12 May 2014.

For more information or to order the book visit the Cracking The Fringe website.
