Bellerbys College Brighton opens its doors to UK students

A global education on your doorstep

From its ultra-modern town centre location, one of Brighton’s schools has been quietly establishing a global reputation for academic excellence.

It has received 11 Good Schools Guide Awards in the last three years for GCSEs alone; it’s in the top 3% of schools in England according to the Department for Education 2013 performance tables; and it enjoys direct links with an enviable list of Russell Group universities. But despite being one of Brighton’s best schools, you’ve probably never heard of it.

“A school that truly represents the globalised environment”

Until now, that is. The secret is out: from September 2014 Bellerbys College Brighton, a co-ed independent boarding school, opens its GCSE programme to UK-based day pupils for the very first time. Local students can now benefit from a unique Bellerbys education from the age of 13 through to 18.

According to school principal Simon Mower, there are four elements at the heart of Bellerbys College’s approach to education: academic excellence, a strong work ethic, outstanding pastoral care and focused student enrichment.

The work ethic at Bellerbys is something Simon Mower believes is amongst the best in the area, pointing out that students who have travelled across the world for an education are highly motivated to succeed, leading to good discipline and an atmosphere geared towards maximising personal potential. By providing a fully integrated learning environment and high quality pastoral care, this culture of hard work can thrive among international and local students alike.

Bellerbys international heritage brings a compelling twist to traditional schooling for UK-based students. Without leaving their family and friends behind, UK students will have the opportunity to develop academically and personally in a school that truly represents the globalised environment they will encounter at university, and then later on in the workplace.

By studying alongside students from every part of the globe and meeting people with different values and beliefs, Bellerbys students gain the opportunity to broaden their cultural horizons and establish a worldwide network of friends.

Parents in the Brighton and surrounding areas are invited to come and discuss this exciting opportunity for their child with the principal and his team. Call 01273 339533 to speak to the principal’s secretary and arrange an appointment.
