Wave: Water way to shape up!

swimming
Fancy a new way of getting fit and having fun at the same time? Then it’s time to try a SynchroFit class, where basic synchronised swimming figures and formations give a whole-body workout. Brighton-based founders Liz Fitzsimons and Jessie Fox are eager to share the physical and wellbeing benefits that SynchroFit offers. Liz is a World and European Masters Champion synchronised swimmer and produces the annual synchro show in the Brighton Fringe festival. Personal trainer Jessie says synchro has given her body a better shape and her fitness has improved dramatically.
Instructing
Each class has three sections: travelling for endurance; synchro moves for improving core muscle strength and agility in the water; and creative mini routines to keep things fun and interesting. Classes are ideal for those who like to socialise while exercising and are especially beneficial for injured athletes.

Beginners are also very welcome – all you need is enthusiasm and confidence in the water!

Classes are held in Surrenden Pool (Five Ways) on Thursday evenings from 8-9pm. Give SynchroFit a try for just £4 or take advantage of multi-class offers. For further details, go to www.synchrofitness.com
