Barnstormers Comedy Club

Barnstormers comedy club is like an old car I used to own; it chugs along reliably month after month. It’s not flashy, but it gives good mileage. You get three comedians from the London comedy circuit and Kevin Precious hosts the evening with his school teacher austerity. Jeff Boyz came on and told jokes about drunken Scots, followed by Trevor Crook, a battered Aussie, who can deliver a punchline expertly. Headliner was the familiar Jim Tavares, whose absurdist act flowed effortlessly. All for £12 and you don’t have to schlep up to London. No wonder it was sold out.
