Latst Sport: Jules Breach has all the behind-the scenes gossip fom Latest Sport

Hey there you lovely Brighton sporty lot!

My birthday week has been and gone, and as expected, I didn’t manage my one run for the week. I suppose that means two this week to make up for it right? Or maybe I’ll save them all up and do four in the last week of November!? Great plan! Due to the fact that I spent the majority of last week off “gallivanting” (as my mum calls it), I haven’t done much in the way of reporting in the past seven days, therefore I’ll just tell you what the hard working boys on the team have been up to instead… unless you want to hear about all my top form birthday banter?! No, didn’t think so.

So let’s get straight to the nitty gritty… Brighton have had two home games in the past week, and we actually got some results, hoorah! In an ideal world, I personally think we needed two wins out of those home fixtures and frankly we shouldn’t really be cheering about a draw at home to Blackburn. Having said that, based on our recent form, I suppose a win and a draw are better than a poke in the eye. Our next match sees us travelling to Norwich, so let’s hope we continue this, somewhat positive form we seem to be in at the moment.

In other sporting news, I’m excited that my favourite sport, tennis, has made its way to the O2 arena in London for the ATP finals. I know it’s not as much of a buzz as Wimbledon, but, having all the top ATP players competing in our capital city is a very exciting spectacle. I’ve been loving watching all the action on the telly and I’m hoping to nab some tickets this week, fingers crossed! I know this is a very tedious link, but has anyone been watching Judy Murray on Strictly Come Dancing? Bless her, it’s baffling to think that she has any hand eye coordination based on her dance moves and rhythm! Gotta love a trier though, and the banter from Andy and Jamie Murray about their mum’s dance moves has been hilarious. Keep it up boys! And mummy Murray!

On our show last week, Matchday Breakfast, our very own Tim Embleton took to the sofa at the Amex to interview a list of great sporting guests once again.

A highlight of the show had to be having the International Masters Light Middleweight champ Lloyd Ellet on the sofa with Crusader Events’ Scott Welch to discuss all the action from the Fright Night we filmed a few weeks ago. The guys told Tim all about how the night went for them, and Lloyd told us all about how it felt to win the new title.

The lads also shared their stories on how it feels to be in the ring up against other fighters and the emotions and training that goes into the build up of a big fight. It was a great watch and you can check out the replay on our latest sport channel on Youtube. http://m.youtube.com/watchv=049VGcre0wc&feature=youtu.be

We also aired all the action from the big Fright Night boxing evening on Saturday November 8th for the first time, and it sure did pack a punch! We will be replaying it on the channel and also have some highlights on our Youtube channel too so keep watching if you missed it the first time round.

And just a facial hair update for you as well… not mine, thank you very much! In case you missed last week’s issue, the boys on the Latest Sport team are growing their beards and ’taches in the style of famous sportsmen in order to raise money for Growvember. I’ll have photographic evidence of their progress next week. Head over to their Just Giving page and please do give generously! After all, they’re making myself and Tatiana have to work with them with ALL that facial fluff. https://www.justgiving.com/LatestSport/

There’s another busy week of filming to come and I’ll be telling you all about it in the next issue.

Til then sports fans! X
