Beauty and the Beast

There’s nothing better than an excellent pantomime coming up to Christmas, and this one has the lot: fairies good & bad, handsome Prince, sweet Beauty, Dame Derriere and Potty Pierre, with a strong ensemble and children’s dance troupe. There is no stinting on the special effects, sparkle and frocks, witty dialogue, loads of songs, set pieces and audience participation. Some of the scary moments had youngsters slipping on to daddies’ knees or retreating to the loo, but most of all there were floods of laughter. If you’re taking kids, don’t feed them too much beforehand or they’ll laugh themselves sick!
