John Bishop – Supersonic

John Bishop is blown away by his life, and he wants you to know it. It’s been such a change, and he mines it for the fun and the ridiculous, from being upgraded with Air Emirates, to hod-carrying in Africa. However, his is still ‘Dad comedy’. By that I mean that the dodgy foreign accents and sexist generalisations are never far away. That said, he has a bagful of nifty turns of phrase well and produces a pleasant evening’s worth of stand-up. He’s a good club comic, but with more smiles and chuckles than uproarious laughter.
