At The Edge Of The Sea

Now in its seventh year, David Gedge’s Bank Holiday weekender again featured his own two bands performing an album in full alongside an international line up of indie’s finest, most of whom threw in a Wedding Present or Cinerama cover. Local acts were well represented with My Life Story delivering a triumphant, high-kicking comeback set and Fiction Aisle’s orchestral pop a sweet start to day two, that also included The Nightingales’ punk funk, Eddie Argos’s new tribute band and TV soundtracks recreated by Dream Themes. With such a genial host, raffles, bingo and no camping this was the perfect festival.
