Nerd Nite

Nerd Nite, the monthly “evidence based entertainment” show, is the full package. There’s a quiz. There’s free cake. And there’s three genuinely interesting speakers talking about subjects they care about – from how babies see colour, to fact-checking the ending of Portal 2, to what an awkward Urology lecture in the ’80s can teach us about science communication. All veer between fascinating and belly laughs. One of the listed speakers has had to cancel at the last minute, but everyone had such a great time that it didn’t matter. And did I mention the free cake? Great fun.
