Funny Girls

Julie Jepson was our relaxed and skilled compere for the night, which mainly featured new acts. An excitable audience (mainly female aside from three men) offered an encouraging forum for new acts Julia Gillick and Adele Cliff to flex and hone their sets. Highlight of the night was the shining beacon Heidi Regan who showed us, in her refreshing deadpan way, exactly how it’s done. A very talented comedian with expert timing, who formed a wonderful connection with her audience. Other highlights included the introduction of our compere’s alter ego Shannon McCrabsticks. An energetic environment for any audience member that is happy to encourage new acts.
