British Airways i360: Engaging Brighton’s talented artists

The beach building at the base of the tower is now really taking shape. We have added the windows and all the internal walls, and the electrical wiring is underway. When it opens the 1,500 square metre building will house our beachside hospitality rooms, the Belle Vue restaurant, exhibition, kids’ play zone, shop, visitor facilities and our offices.BA-Branding-Mockup_Flags_Beach
We have begun work on creating our shop. We sent a call out to artists in Brighton and Hove who we will be commissioning to create a bespoke range of BA i360 souvenirs and gifts, or working with them to sell their existing artwork. The response has been overwhelmingly positive: there are so many talented people in the city!

We have selected Drinkall Dean to design our shop; they are specialist retail designers who created beautiful shops at the Imperial War Museum, Natural History Museum and National Gallery.
We are also developing our app, which will be free to download and available in 10 languages. This is being created by Brighton based Surface Impressions who have lots of attraction app experience for clients such as Portsmouth Historic Dockyard.
Our guidebook is also in development and will be printed by L&S Printing based near Lancing.
