Kids Food Review: Part 2

donatello

DONATELLO

Donatello restaurant is nicely decorated and comfortable with plenty of tables. There are family photos and pictures of Brighton on the walls giving it a homely feel. The staff look smart in their uniform of t-shirt and jeans and were really nice. They kept coming to our table to check we had everything we needed. I had calamari to start which was really good and the pizza i had after was simply amazing with lots of cheese on every piece. The ice cream sundae was awesome. I will be coming back soon.

fish-and-liquor

FISH + LIQUOR

Fish + Liquor is a seaside restaurant overlooking Brighton Pier. You can sit inside or outside, enjoy the sights and relax. When I got down there, my first impressions were that it looks calm and chilled out. It was a lovely summer evening and time to have some typical English food, fish and chips. I sat down at a safe, which I thought was a clever idea, and I looked at the menu. I saw straight away what I was going to have, obviously, it had to be a typical English fish and chips. The waiter came over with the fish and chips with my Diet Coke and it smelt absolutely delicious! And I got stuck in. Dad was taking pictures of me and a seagull flew down and almost took his fish! The fish was brilliant, the chips were amazing and the view was great. Other people were relaxing, having a good time! I loved the food, I loved the view and loved that it was chilled and relaxing.

la-choza

LA CHOZA

Have you been to the wonderful La Choza? If you haven’t you’re crazy, if you have, I like your style! When I stepped into this tasty restaurant it felt like I was in Mexico on the Day of the Dead, it was amazing. We (me, mum and my brother) had tortilla chips and spicy chicken wings, I was already liking this place after one bite, in spice heaven. Then I had an unusual slushy because it was mango. Yum! Now it was time to order, I had a spicy beef burrito, my brother had the kids menu chicken and cheese quesadilla. Out of nowhere a waiter came with some quality toys for my brother to keep him entertained. Then the food came. My burrito came in silver wrapping, I opened it and I saw an amazing wrap filled with delicious meat, it was a little bit smoky with some spice and was really tasty. All the food was brilliant. Big thanks to the waiters too, they’re awesome. See ya folks!

moksha-caffe

MOKSHA CAFFÈ

The design was really nice, Moksha means liberation, which we thought was a very clever name. We were served by Sky, a very sweet man with great tattoos. He recommended smoothies so we ordered Big 5 (pineapple, mango, kiwi, strawberry & apple) and Pash N Shoot (passion fruit, pineapple, mango & orange) both were so fresh and delicious. Mum had a Detox Raw Veg one – very green. The kids menu had great choices but we ordered off the main menu. I (Katja) had tomato & hummus bruschetta with my favourite avocado and homemade hash browns on the side, its was gorgeous. I (Nuala) had the roasted vegetable lentil salad. It was huge, really yummy, I don’t think I had eaten this much salad in my life. I would recommend it. To finish we had Oreo cheesecake – delish but we shared as very rich and we were very full. We will definitely come back and recommend it for brunch, lunch or tea! Go to Moksha and feel liberated!

terre-a-terre

TERRE à TERRE

Even though I’m not vegetarian I enjoyed the food very much. The restaurant was really inviting and relaxing. The staff were cool and helpful. Because there was such a large variety of food, I was confused on what to have, so our waitress helped us decide.
We had the Terre à Tapas Sharing Plate, because it has a selection of everything on the menu, Bangkok Broken Balls and Smokey Scrunch Chips. The presentation was amazing and I tried everything. My favourite dishes were Korean Fried Cauliflower, Scrunch Chips, Bangkok Broken Balls and the edible flowers.
For pudding I had the Lush Truffle Brownie, which I strongly recommend because it was an explosion of flavours and very chocolatey. I would definitely like to go back sometime.

vip-pizza

VIP PIZZA

Well my time at VIP (Very Italian Pizza) was amazing. I ordered a Parma Pizza which had the toppings of tomato pizza sauce, mozzarella cheese and parma ham. The pizza had my absolutely favourite cheese parmesan with as well my favourite salad rocket. When the waitress gave me my pizza it looked amazing on how much effort was put into my pizza then at that moment I tried it was SO FANTASTIC!! One flavour just turned into another and the texture I could feel in my mouth was just so amazing and for how brilliant the pizza was I suggest adult and children and any age should go to VIP (Very Important Pizza).
