My faithful friend Arya…

3. aryaThis week, meet Arya, a German Shepard, who truly lives up to her name. Owner, Lisa Ellis, reveals more…

“The name Arya, means ‘faithful friend’ in Persian. You would never believe that three months ago she was 24 hours away from being destroyed in Ireland, after being found tied up looking like a bag of bones in a field. We got her from Allsorts Rescue.

“I have always wanted a rescue dog and after being diagnosed with PTSD and not having the confidence to leave the house, my husband got her for me! She now never leaves my side. She always sleeps with her teddy bear and will lick it clean after she has washed herself. She will often carry it around with her too. If she was a celebrity, my husband and I think Arya reminds us of Holly Willoughby. She is always smiling, likes to have fun and is a little mischievous, but everyone loves her as she is a big friendly giant.”

Doggy tales – Each week Latest 7 will regale you with tales about the dogs who live in Brighton (via their owners) and also introduce you to rescue dogs, looking for forever homes.
