Dream Wife

Dream Wife gave a tight performance considering it was only the second date of their Hello 2017 tour. The lead vocalist commanded the stage whilst layering a veil of cutesiness over her performance. This dichotomy cut through the whole set right to the lyrics “I’ve been your Lolita and I’ve handled it like a boy”. ‘Lolita’ encapsulating the innocence of the performance that, under the surface, the band sought to unpick and mock. The playfulness of the set was continued by a friend of the band joining the stage for a dance, it was all fun and games.
