The tour title refers to the Sheffield legend’s threatened retirement from showbiz; given the high chance of early death for celebrities these days, and the disappearance of favourite childhood sweets. Shuttleworth intentionally stumbled his way through a set of old and new favourites that included some majestic wordplay on ‘My First Polo’, the stress of buying toasters on eBay and an hilarious off-key calypso tribute to 70s crooner Vince Hill. The perils of going for a late night curry while neglecting aged relatives was highlighted in a joyful ”How’s Your Nan’ and the night ended with a singalong medley of crowd requests. Oof!
