Another busy week for Latest TV. Last week happened to be Dementia Awareness week as well as Deaf Awareness week, so we produced two awareness pieces for the news by finding out how to be a dementia friend at Mayfield Manor in Brighton, and popped over to Dottie’s cafe in East Brighton which is staffed by deaf and hearing people.

We filmed the Acumen Business Convention, an annual event led by Penina Shepherd, the dynamic lawyer who has put Brighton on the legal map many times with her award winning business. She also introduced top speakers to the city so we quizzed the co-creator of Skype, Jonas Kjellberg as well as The People’s Assembly founder, Sanderson Jones. Nelda, our talented producer was able to speak in Swedish to Jonas who gave tips on how to be a top entrepreneur.

We caught up with Peter James atop the BAi360 as he unveiled the plot of his latest whodunnit. Need You Dead is a real page-turner with many more Brighton locations inside. As Peter says, Brighton is never short of criminal inspiration.

Other film shoots included filming at the wonderful Sir Rod Aldridge Cricket Centre at BACA and we met some amazing women cricketers including the Centre Director, cricketing legend Alexia Walker and young star, Tara Norris.

Plus we filmed all the LGBT venues in Brighton Kemptown for a new show Out With Allan Jay, more details of that very soon.
