The House Plan Interiors showroom on the bustling North Street in the city centre has doubled in size following their move into number 27 North Street.
The popular store has featured hand-built upholstery and bespoke curtain-making services for several years, but their expansion means they now have the space to show greatly enhanced ranges of cabinet furniture and an amazing range of wardrobe systems with sliding and opening doors.
Their range of wardrobes are from Germany and are extremely robust and amazingly well priced. Sizes range from as small as one metre and extend up to four metres plus, with corner systems, fully fitted interiors, lighting and other luxurious details. Much time was devoted to researching the range and many other manufacturing countries were rejected in favour of the solid and precise construction which ensures that the wardrobes can be easily dismantled and moved to another property if required.
There are many types of finishes to choose from, including coloured glasses, shiny lacquers, and even discrete light-up panels in the doors of the more contemporary styles. Delivery is in about four weeks. A current promotion on the range offers discounts of up to 30 per cent, so a two-metre wardrobe will cost from £400.
House Plan are expanding their range of upholstery styles displayed to include some of the styles they make for hotel clients. 40 to 50 models are offered, from traditional Victorian family styles to ultra modern low contemporary shapes.
The great advantage of the House Plan approach, which is enabled by the fact that they own their own factory, is that you can vary the shape or size of your sofa choice to fit your space or needs. These variations cost about £50 to £100 on average. They also have over 8000 fabric choices from £20 to £150 per metre and in every conceivable texture and colour.
